If you only play one round of golf in Bali, make it New Kuta Golf. Perched on limestone cliffs above Dreamland Beach on the Bukit Peninsula, it’s Indonesia’s first true links-style course — and the ocean views are every bit as good as the photos suggest. Here’s everything you need to know before you tee off, from a team that books this course for travelling golfers every single day.

What the Course Is Really Like
New Kuta Golf plays nothing like Bali’s lush parkland and mountain courses. The fairways run through dry, desert-like vegetation and rugged limestone outcrops, and the wind off the Indian Ocean is a genuine factor — this is the closest you’ll get to Scottish links golf in the tropics. Nearly every hole has an ocean view, and the clifftop par 3s are the shots you’ll still be talking about at dinner: tee shots over limestone ravines with the surf breaking below.
With five sets of tees it works for every level. Off the tips it’s a proper championship test; from the forward tees it’s a scenic, fun round for casual players. One honest warning from our regulars: bring extra balls. Miss a fairway on the cliff holes and that ball is gone.

Green Fees & What’s Included
The 2026 green fee through BaliGolfSpot is IDR 2,200,000 per player (down from the regular IDR 2,600,000). That includes your 18-hole green fee, shared golf cart, caddie service, mineral water and check-in assistance — the only extras are your caddie tip and anything from the bar.
You can book New Kuta Golf online here. No deposit, no agent mark-up — you pay only after we confirm your tee time.
Best Tee Times
Available slots run from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Our advice:
Early morning (6–8 AM) is the sweet spot — calmer wind, cooler temperatures and the fastest pace of play. Afternoon rounds (1–3 PM) trade a bit more breeze for softer light and sunset views over the ocean on the closing holes. Midday is playable but hot; hydrate constantly either way.
Club Hire & Transport
Travelling without your clubs? We provide quality rental sets for IDR 600,000 per round — modern, well-maintained clubs in right- and left-handed options for men and ladies. See our club hire page for details.
We can also arrange return hotel transport for IDR 600,000 per group of up to 4 players from most areas in south Bali — just select the transport option when you book.
Getting There
New Kuta Golf sits inside the Pecatu Indah Resort development on Jl. Raya Uluwatu, about 20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport and 30 minutes from Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua. It’s easily the most accessible championship course on the island — you can land in the morning and be on the first tee by lunch.
FAQ
Is New Kuta Golf suitable for beginners?
Yes — play the forward tees, take your caddie’s advice on lines, and it’s a very enjoyable round. The caddies here know every slope and hidden hazard.
What should I wear?
Standard golf attire: collared shirt, tailored shorts or trousers, and golf shoes. If you’re unsure about anything, ask us when you book.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking at least a few days ahead — morning slots in high season (June–September) fill up fast. Check availability here or message us on WhatsApp for same-week requests.
How does New Kuta compare to Bali’s other courses?
It’s the dramatic one. Bukit Pandawa is the fun par-3 course ten minutes away, and Bali Handara is the cool-climate crater course up in the mountains. Our guide to the best golf courses in Bali compares all three.
